11108852_373638462826201_2036926718503851520_n It’s up to you to “FIND” it, happiness doesn’t just magically happen. (At least not on a consistent basis!)

Take a moment now and think about something in your life, work, a relationship, your body and health, whatever comes up for you.

Think about this specific area of your life, and find meaning, hope and purpose within it. Watch how when you do that, happiness is right around the corner.

Is it meeting your needs…

I came across another extremely enlightening blog of Seth Godin. Definitely a wake-upper for many who tend to be engulfed with merely going through life and not seeing the meaning and purpose of how life should be lived.

Or merely creating new wants?

Is it honoring your time or squandering your time?

Is it connecting you from those you care about, or separating you?

Is it exposing you or giving you a place to hide?

Is it important, or only urgent?

Is it right, or simply convenient?

Is it making things better, or merely more pressing?

Is it leveraging your work or wasting it?

What is it for?

Are You Certain That You’re Trapped?

To be actually trapped is to have no options, no choices, no possible outcomes other than the one you fear.

Most of the time, when we think we’re trapped, we’re actually unhappy with the short-term consequences of making a choice. Make the choice, own the outcome and you can start in a new place.

This is often frightening and painful, which is one reason it might be easier to pretend that we’re actually trapped.

Are you actually trapped or don’t you just want to make a choice for fear of the consequences of the choices you’re going to make? The short blog above by Seth Godin is a good wake-upper for many of us who like to believe we’re trapped in life.

Stressful and emotional situations are what keeps us from making the right decisions. These, however, are just symptoms of something deeper inside that needs to be addressed. To resolve your emotional blocks you have to know your triggers, and develop effective management techniques and coping skills so you stay in control and be able to face your fears and handle challenges in life.

One effective and powerful alternative approach to handling these emotional blocks is by practicing EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping. It swiftly reduces, and usually, permanently removes, disturbing feelings that create emotional distress. It’s easy to do on your own or together with an EFT practitioner. By removing the emotional blocks to your innate flow, mind and body balance is restored.

It is best to look underneath to discover and tap on the root cause of what pushes you to come up with the decisions you make in life. EFT can effectively address this negative emotion, which is your obstacle to ultimately achieve success.

The Nine Mental Skills of Successful Athletes

swimmer-583667_1280 (2)If your idea of a successful athlete is one who has won medals, won a championship/s or is a professional in the sport they play in, then you’re greatly mistaken. At least, that’s how Jack J. Lesyk, Ph.D. illustrates to us the epitome of a successful athlete according to his standards.

In this article he tells of the successful athletes he’s worked and is working with, who don’t belong to any of the categories mentioned above. Yet, these are the people who are committed to be the best in what they do, given the circumstances they are in. They are people who set their own goals and work for it. And above all, they are enjoying what they are doing.

For these people to become successful athletes, the author cites 9 important mental skills that contribute to their success. You believe you don’t have any or all of the 9? Don’t fret because Dr. Lesyk believes they are all acquired from learning and can be improved with instruction and practice.

Have You Found Your Passion?

I read this blog post from a friend, Ulf Bergman, originally written in Swedish that I’m sharing with you. I found this article too interesting and enlightening not to share with all of you. Do take time to read through it. I’m sure you will learn a thing or two from this article!
“Have you found your passion? Not?

If that is the case I can console yourself that you are not alone. I just read a study showing that 74% of the Swedish population does not know what their passion is.

The thing is that if you do not work to get to do more of what you want or dream about, and do not plan for it, so life will soon hit you in the back of the head with a brick. It is your subconscious that hungers for the moment when the obligation disappears and you become engrossed in a challenge or a task – the passion.
But how the heck do you find your passion?
Yes, it is so ridiculously easy that one can hardly believe it’s true. Here are seven questions to answer that shows you what you feel passionate about.

1. What makes you smile?
Daring to do what makes you happy is a wonderful way to find out why you are there. Think of something that you do, or have done in the past, and that gives you a smile.

2. What is easy for you?
That which you think are easy to do will be related to your passion. It’s hard to hate something that you have easy to do.

3. What increases your creativity?

Think of something in your life that always seems to get your horizon to be bigger, something that always gives you new, fun and exciting ideas. What causes you to be creative is certainly something that you have passion for.

4. What would you do for free?
Think of something that you would love to do even if you did not get paid for it. Think of something that you look forward to, something that you wish you could do all the time.

5. What do you like to talk about?
This might not be aware of, but a good way to find out what lies you closest to my heart is to ask your friends. Ask them what they think you like to talk about the most, which substances may your eyes burn and change your behavior.

6. What makes you become fearless of failure?
When you do that you have passion for, so you have total confidence in your abilities. It makes you not worry that fail because you feel you can not even fail when you do what you love to do.

7. What would you regret that you have not tried?
If you were standing at the end of life, what would you regret that you had not tried to do? What would you have liked to do that you have not had the chance to?”

Our minds are far more powerful than what we realize. Few people are truly aware of the magnitude of power that their thoughts exert in their reality .This is the gist of this really interesting article by Bob Proctor.

The world we are in and what we see with their own eyes right now has been created by us. We can actually use our thoughts, our minds, our imagination to create our success, to have the life that we dream of.  Find out more about this wonderful fact in the link below.
